How to read this tool. With 35 games left there are about 34 billion result combinations, so the race table samples random finishes until you have 13 or fewer games unpicked; from then on it checks every combination. Every unpicked game is a coin flip, so the shares describe how often each outcome happens across finishes, not how likely it is. Clinched, Eliminated and In if wins out are proven from the remaining schedule.
Who plays in Charlotte. The two teams with the best ACC win percentage. In 2026, 12 teams play nine ACC games and five (Boston College, Clemson, Florida State, Georgia Tech and North Carolina) play eight, so the standings use win percentage. A team that played a different number of ACC games is also tied with the leaders if it has the same number of wins, or the same number of losses, as the team(s) with the best percentage. The tiebreaker is used only when three or more teams tie for the best percentage, or two or more tie for second, and it works from the top down: each time a team is placed in the game, the procedure starts over, including deciding who is tied.
Tiebreakers (ACC Football Tiebreaker Policy, as amended July 1, 2026; Appendix K of the 2026 ACC Football Operations Manual). Two teams: head-to-head result, then the Team Success Ranking (TSR) from SportSource Analytics after the regular season, then a draw. Three or more teams that all played each other: best record among them, then TSR, then a draw. Three or more that did not all play each other: a team that beat every other tied team is in, and a team that lost to every other tied team drops out of the tie; then TSR, then a draw. Because TSR is not known until the regular season ends, this tool never guesses it: any spot that comes down to TSR is shown as TSR, and you can set a TSR order under Tiebreakers to see the rest of a scenario.
How the tool reads two points the policy leaves open. When all the tied teams played each other and more than one shares the best record among them, the policy names no next step for those teams alone, so the tool goes straight to TSR among all the tied teams, as written. A team that drops out of a tie (lost to every other tied team) is not considered again for that title game. Check these with the conference office if a real tie depends on them.
Cancelled games. Under the Operations Manual, a cancelled game is nullified: it is not rescheduled and its result does not count in Conference records, and a postponed game that cannot be rescheduled becomes a cancelled game. A game marked Cancelled here is left out, so both teams finish with one fewer ACC game; standings use win percentage, and the alternate-games rule above applies to them. A forfeit counts as a played game, so pick the winner instead.
